Dana L Wiley,MD
Dr. Wiley is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, specializing in General Adult Psychiatry. He has been in practice for over 20 years and has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and administrative psychiatry. He has written several articles for Current Psychiatry Magazine. Dr. Wiley has been acknowledged as one of South Carolina's Top Psychiatrists for 5 consecutive years and recognized in The Guide to America's Top Psychiatrists. He was Chief of Psychiatry at AnMed Medical Center from 2016-2018 and is on staff at Patrick B Harris State Psychiatric Hospital. He teaches students of Anderson University and Gardner Webb University who rotate through the practice.
Dr. Lockard was awarded her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, and is licensed at the highest level for psychologists in the state of South Carolina. She completed her internship at the Kentucky Department of Corrections where she focused on the treatment of male and female sex offenders. Dr. Lockard has worked extensively providing evaluations for parole hearings and terminally ill patients. She has done research and received training in Chicago with regards to the unique clinical needs of the Latino community and the correctional population.
A native of Puerto Rico, she has a deep appreciation for Latin-American cultures and has studied the dialects, regional influences and cultural nuances of the Spanish language. She is bicultural and bilingual, possessing oral & written fluency in both Spanish and English.
As a forensic psychologist, Dr. Lockard has been designated as an expert witness by several courts. She has performed comprehensive forensic evaluations for municipal, state and federal courts.
Dr. Lockard has worked in a variety of settings including forensic, correctional, Community Mental Health & Autism Clinics, County and Psychiatric Hospitals, Residential Treatment Centers and State Behavioral and Social Services agencies.
Her areas of interest and expertise (all bilingual) include: clinical, criminal forensic, psychosexual and neuropsychological assessment and treatment. She offers group, family and individual psychotherapy services. In addition, she provides cultural competency training for mental health professionals and supervision/training to the pre-doctoral psychology practicum students and post-doctoral psychology residents.
Mr. Jason Flassing is a Psychiatric Physician Assistant who has worked in the field of mental health for over seven years. He holds a Masters of Medical Science Degree from Emory University, a degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University and he is a National Health Service Corps Scholar.
Mr. Flassing previously provided primary care services in a rural health clinic near Roanoke, VA. Currently he is on staff at The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health where he provides treatment to patients in both the inpatient and partial hospital programs. His ability to integrate both the medical and emotional aspects of his patients symptoms allows him to provide exceptional and comprehensive care to his patients.
While Mr. Flassing enjoys working with all types of psychiatric symptoms, he has a particular interest in treating bipolar, depressive and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Keith Plowden is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who holds a BS in Nursing from Pace University in New York, a MS from LaSalle University in Philadelphia & Central University and a PhD from Walden University. He is Board Certified in Adult & Family Psychiatry. He is also a Board Certified Gerontological Nurse. Dr. Plowden is certified in nursing education and has worked as a nurse educator. He has over 30 years experience in both acute care and psychiatry and has published several journal articles on various mental health topics.
Jennifer Burger, NP-C
Jennifer Burger is a Nurse Practitioner, who is Board Certified in Family Practice. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate, and her Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, from South University. She has 14 years of clinical experience as a nurse and has decided to pursue her interest in treating persons with mental health issues.
Betty Ann Cook,RN
Betty Ann Cook is our Practice Administrator. She has over 18 years experience as a Practice Administrator in the psychiatric field. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Nursing. Prior to becoming a practice administrator she worked as a case manager and as Director of a Day Rehabilitation Program for Stroke and Head Injury patients in Texas. She has written protocols and procedures for CARF accreditation for outpatient clinics and has helped with JCAHO accreditation in inpatient settings. As a strong patient advocate, she believes in greater public awareness in the field of mental illness and treatment of mental disorders. Integrity, ethics, professionalism, compassion and patience are constantly utilized as her personal standards of care.
John Epps is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 15 years of experience working with individuals, families and groups. John earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University and his Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He has provided counseling and consultation to patients with a variety of issues, including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Substance Abuse, as well as with problems with stress and interpersonal relationships. Depending on each individual's unique needs, John will utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and other therapeutic techniques. John has particular interest in working with the LGBTQ community.
Bill Reynolds is a Licensed and SC Board Certified Marriage & Family Therapist. Bill specializes in working with troubled youth and their families. He also works with couples who are seeking marriage enrichment or trying to overcome difficulties in their relationships.
Bill approaches therapy from a systemic approach and believes that families are the back bone of society. His goal is to help families in their struggles, which will in turn help individuals reach their full potential in society. He also works with individuals dealing with grief, anger, PTSD, anxiety, self esteem, and building social skills.
Mr. Reynolds received his BS in Psychology from the College of Charleston. He earned two Masters Degrees; Marriage & Family Therapy and Christian Education from Southwestern in Fort Worth, Texas. He enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart of 27 years, his two boys, and is an avid sports fanatic.
Erica Fleming Rutledge,NCC,LPC-I
Erica Fleming serves as a Mental Health Therapist in the Anderson-Greenville area. She is nationally certified and provisionally licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Emmanuel College, as well as a Master of Education Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University.
With experience gained in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Erica has become passionate about helping patients function at their absolute highest potential. In her clinical practice, she delivers cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational therapy and other evidence-based treatments to children, adolescent, and adult clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, and relationship issues. She is also experienced in working with couples and families in hopes of improving communication and creating or restoring healthy dynamics amidst strained relationships.
Angie Gilstrap received her Master of Education,Community Counseling Degree from Clemson University and her Bachelor of Human Services & Resources from Anderson University. She has worked as a counselor and forensic interviewer for children who have been abused as well as in the hospital setting providing family education regarding diagnosis, treatment and community resources to those diagnosed with acute psychiatric disorders.
Helping patients overcome trauma, regain self-esteem and thrive are the primary reasons that motivated Angie to become a therapist. She is interested in treating depression, anxiety, trauma and family issues using a variety of modalities including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and other evidence based treatments.
Angie will also utilize relevant books, podcasts and support groups in order to help patients improve their interpersonal relationships, communication skills and ultimately reach their treatment goals.
Roxie Medley is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She specializes in outpatient mental health services, opioid dependency therapy as well as individual, group and couples therapy. She approaches therapy from an eclectic standpoint, which incorporates a variety of therapeutic principles to meet the needs of each patient. She has experience working with Social Service & Mental Health Agencies, Intensive In-Home Therapy and Substance Abuse.
Mrs. Medley obtained her undergraduate training at the University of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC. She also earned 2 Masters Degrees in Mental Health Counseling & School Guidance Counseling from the University of the SouthWest in Hobbs, New Mexico.
She is a certified Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Roxie's goal is to walk with patients on their journey to self-discovery which will in turn assist them in reaching their goals.
Harrison Kisner is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has been in clinical practice for over 20 years. Mr. Kisner has extensive experience working with mood disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, adolescent issues and stress management. For 8 years he taught at Clemson University, focusing on marriage & relationships, family dynamics and substance abuse. Harrison employs a variety of therapeutic models according to the individual needs of his clients and when requested he will explore the convergence of spiritual and psychological issues.
Mr. Kisner obtained his BA in Philosophy from Rhodes College and attended the Graduate School of Religious Studies at Vanderbilt. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina.
In his spare time, Harrison enjoys spending time with his daughter, working with a local church group, playing the guitar and driving in the mountains.
Grace Jones is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who specializes in providing family, individual and couples therapy for eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety/stress management and self-esteem issues. She is an Honors Graduate of Furman University with a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Converse College. Grace has extensive experience offering therapy in outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient levels of care.
She is a skills-based therapist who is committed to providing compassionate, holistic and change-oriented services. She believes that if you are motivated for change, the sky is the limit!
